Our Story

The Mijos Foundation was created with a clear purpose: to open doors for the next generation by investing in what truly matters: Character, opportunity, and growth. It's about giving kids the space to learn, believe in themselves, and rise.

Founded by NFL player Will Hernandez and his mijos: Derek Elmendorff, Eric Lee, and Jason Yohanan. The foundation reflects the values that shaped them on and off the field: discipline, resilience, and community. For Will, football was a path to something greater. Now, that same path is being built for others ,one that reaches far beyond the game.

Through youth camps, educational support, and programs that build confidence, we work to create real impact. We focus on moments that stay with young people for life: being seen, being guided, and knowing someone believes in them.

This is a mission built on connection. Whether you’re here to support, collaborate, or get involved, your role matters. Together, we can give more kids the tools to grow strong in every sense of the word.

We believe in being transparent and accountable in everything we do. Every step we take, every story we share, and every goal we set comes from a place of trust because the community is at the heart of this foundation.
